John Amen is the author of three collections of poetry: Christening the Dancer (Uccelli Press 2003), More of Me Disappears (Cross-Cultural Communications 2005), and At the Threshold of Alchemy (Presa 2009), and has released two folk/folk rock CDs, All I’ll Never Need and Ridiculous Empire (Cool Midget). He is also an artist, working primarily with acrylics on canvas. Amen travels widely giving readings, doing musical performances, and conducting workshops. Susan Terris's poetry collections include Contrariwise, Natural Defenses, and Fire Is Favorable to the Dreamer. Her work has appeared in many publications, including The Iowa Review, The Journal, Colorado Review, Prairie Schooner, The Southern Review, Denver Quarterly, and Ploughshares. For seven years, with CB Follett, she edited Runes, A Review Of Poetry. Now she edits for Pedestal Magazine and is poetry editor, with Ilya Kaminsky, of In Posse Review. She had a poem from Field published in Pushcart Prize XXXI. She had two chapbooks published in 2009: The Wonder Bread Years and Double-Edged and will have two more published in 2010: Bar None and Chapbook on the Marketing of the Chapbook.

Nathan Leslie’s six books of fiction include Madre, Believers, and Drivers. His first book of poems, Night Sweat, was published in 2009. His short stories, essays, and poems have appeared in many literary magazines, including Boulevard, Shenandoah, North American Review, and Cimarron Review. Zachary Kluckman

Zachary Kluckman is the Executive Director of the world's only Slam Poet Laureate Program, which made world history by appointing the first poet to this title in 2009. Kluckman is an actor, poet, youth advocate, teacher, and performance artist whose recent anthology, Earthships: A New Mecca Poetry Collection, was a finalist in the NM Book Awards. Other national publications include the New York Quarterly, Memoir (and), Dos Passos Review, and Cutthroat among others. His first chapbook, Per-City Poems, garnered great reviews. Abroad, his work appears in print, film, and radio formats. Recently he was nominated for both Best of the Net 2009 and the 2009 Pushcart Prize in Poetry. He is the host of the Smokin’ Word Slam and the Sanjevani Poetry Circle in Albuquerque, where he also works as a youth mentor, running workshops for youth in transition and serving as Festival Coordinator for the Verse-Converse Poetry Festival in Taos, NM.



JoSelle Vanderhooft

JoSelle Vanderhooft’s poetry and short fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in such publications as Star*Line, Mythic Delirium, Jabberwocky, and The Seventh Quarry. Her first chapbook, 10,000 Several Doors, was released as an e-book by Cat's Eye Publishing in late 2005. It will be available in print form in summer 2006. Several of her novels will be released in 2006, including Vice of Kings, Enter Elsinore, The Tale of the Miller's Daughter, and Owl Skin. Desert Songs, a chapbook with illustrations by Erzebet YellowBoy, is scheduled for release by Cross-Cultural Communications. An e-book anthology of lesbian-themed fairytales, Sleeping Beauty, Indeed, which she edited, will be made available from Torquere Press in May 2006. She is a contributing writer to Random House/Knopf's The Full Spectrum, an anthology of essays and poetry by young GLBT writers and their straight allies. She currently lives in Salt Lake City and makes her living as a freelance journalist, writing for several magazines and newspapers. A 2004 graduate of the University of Utah, she holds honors degrees in English and Theatre Studies and is a coeditor of the forthcoming spec poetry/fiction/comic magazine Crow's Nest.
